Message: We love this nostalgic WI supper club. They don't serve relish trays but it has all the right feels. Most items are cooked in the open grill in the restaurant. We always get the Kessler rippchen, we love it! The haddock is a huge portion and steaks are a great cut and typically cooked very correctly. The shrimp is outstanding. The opening salad is a wedge served with 3 AMAZING homemade dressings that you should always buy afterward :) the creamy Russian is incredulity smooth while the Caesar and clear French are tangy and great as dressings or marinades. Don't skip the onions or mushrooms! And make sure to load your baker with schmoo!

Message: Overall phenomenal! Their food was delicious! The service was amazing! The environment was perfect! The wait was a little long, but well worth it! The homemade salad dressings were incredible! Very fresh and great variety of options.. The rolls were light, fluffy and delicious! The filet mignon and porterhouse were cooked to perfection and had a delicious char flavor! The prices were very reasonable and great value. I appreciate the price points they picked. You could go to a fancier steakhouse and pay more than double for slightly better quality meat, but I appreciate having a great cut of meat with a perfect sear for such a great value! Very impressed! The baked potato was delicious especially with the unique cottage cheese, chive blend. I've never liked sour cream but wish I had another option with a similar concept AND this was it! I am obsessed! The only problem is now I have no idea how to get this or make this to have it again. I will definitely try though! So impressed with their cooking styles and their revolutionary homemade recipes! As far as the service, everyone was just lovely and clearly passionate, hard workers! Everyone worked so beautifully together and it showed in the friendly, welcoming environment! Thank you for everything! This is a must go restaurant every time we are within an hour of the area!

Message: Came here for my birthday dinner while we were up north. My friend got pork chops which were super salty and my steak came overcooked then came back undercooked. The table side service was unique and enjoyable. The salad and baked potato may have been the best part of our meal. Service was fine and no complaints there. I wouldn't go back but didn't hate my meal.

Message: Feels authentic in regards to a traditional supper club. I grew up in the nortwoods and loved going to supper clubs with Grandma. Food is very supper club north and friendly. Old fashions are yummy ( nutmeg?! ). We actually saw a albino buck the day we went there. ( not sure if that is relevant, just wanted to share).

Message: Traditional & keeping true to their roots! That is the best way for me to describe this nostalgic WI Supper Club! We went at about 5pm on Saturday, Feb 11th. We were instantly greeted with a smile & offered to be seated right away or a beverage at the bar. We opted for a couple old fashions before dinner. The bartender was very nice & attentive. While the old fashions weren't muddled they were still made very well! Our waitress was very good too! The menu was very limited, which is part of what makes the White Stag unique. By keeping a limited menu they have truly perfected their tried & true recipes. We had Filet Mignon & Haddock. Steak was cooked perfectly to order. The Haddock was flaky & flavorful (no "fishy" flavor). We also ordered mushrooms & onions as sides which were also very good. The meal does come with a wedge salad.. which was truly a wedge of lettuce. There weren't any fancy toppings, for the salad, just lettuce, although when paired with 1 of their house made dressings, you won't miss the extras! All in all we truly enjoyed our experience & do recommend putting the White Stag on your Supper Club bucket list!

Message: A truly iconic northwoods supper club – we loved the warm wooden interior, friendly people, and simple yet delicious offerings.. No loud music to disrupt the quaint atmosphere. (More places would benefit from this approach. ). Also, the whiskey sour old fashioned is top-notch. I enjoyed one at the bar while we waited, plus another at the table. Hard to remember the last time we enjoyed such a calm, enjoyable environment. Will definitely return!

Message: What a great supper club in the Northwoods. This place is beautiful inside and out. Great food the salad and steak were great. The dressings for the salad are excellent. They also make a very good brandy old fashioned. Service was very nice and served quickly. If you're into supper clubs don't miss this one.

Message: I will tell you more shortly, but in highlight:. The food is absolutely amazing and is definitely 5 stars. The service is only 3 stars.. I suggest getting the Ribeye based on the 4 different dishes that our group ordered. It was some of the best steak any of us have ever had. The salad is simply amazing. Their dressings and the combinations are bar-none! I wouldn't get the mushrooms to have with my steak again, but the ONIONS.. mmmm.. It is really unique how they serve the food and the decor is also incredibly unique.. As far as service, the bartender seemed unfriendly and seemed to really dislike kids. Now let me tell you, while we waited, we sat at the bar with the kids since it wasn't crowded, but they were quiet and polite. The hostess was great. Our server seemed to feel like we were a burden and I by no means felt like we were being difficult.
